Subject: Festival of Fruit--August 27 - 29, 1999, Petaluma, California

The California Rare Fruit Growers present:

               1999 Festival of Fruit

               August 27 - 29, 1999
               Petaluma, California

A celebration of uncommon fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds -- how to
grow them, prepare them and enjoy them, including special presentations on
the 1999 fruit of the year -- the grape.

The Northern California chapters of the CRFG will host the 1999 Festival of
Fruit this summer at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Petaluma on Saturday,
August 28, with guided and self-guided tours on August 27 and August
29. This great conference, which comes to Northern California every five
years (and now, with the advent of chapters in Arizona, Texas and Florida
perhaps even less frequently), features great speakers, venders, exhibits
and a chance to talk fruit. Petaluma is about an hour north of San
Fransisco.

Registering in advance is highly recommended. If you send in the form by
August 8th it is $25 per person ($15 with valid student ID at the door).
If you register at the door the student price is the same but the regular
price goes up to $30. There should be enough room for everyone who comes
but if you wait too long you won't get into the lectures and tours you
want.

You can find details and a registration form at:
