This is a periodic status message for the ecopath discussion list. Welcome new subscribers. This is a small list of 57 subscribers. We are currently growing slowly by one or two people each month. At present the list is about a year old and consists of occasional discussion periods with me (jeff) providing constant posts on different topics. There is a web page with some philosophy but a list defines itself by the posts of its subscribers. I keep drifting off into world problems and abstract philosophy. Does anyone think an open list where any topic is welcome might make conversation easier? Here is the current suggested scope: 1. Ideas individuals can incorporate into their lives. This can be models of the future, daily activities, useful viewpoints (usually related to ethics or philosophy) and tools. 2. Ideas should be related to ecology or sustainability. This can be anything that moves us one step closer to a sustainable world. Of course, the ideas are relative to our starting point and it is the "step" that is important. 3.
