I've read the "Independent House" book and it was useful. Is Solviva
about the lady who integrated chickens into a greenhouse for heating?
That process had some serious health problems at various times. She
got sick and abandoned her greenhouse for a few years and last i heard
she was making another attempt. What i find interesting is watching
to see which writers focus on their land and which ones prefer writing.
Then, looking to see if those who succeed with eco-lifestyles have
anything in common.
The conclusion i've come to is that successful eco-lifestyles
develop joy in the process and do not need as much approval or
recognition from others. Also, income needs are secondary to
being at home with the earth.
