Ah... someone who knows Asian pears.  It is chojuro.

Now.... this open up a puzzle.  I've always heard Asians get
fireblight and believe it up until a few days ago.  Now i'm sitting
here reading the "Oregon Asian Pear council" fact sheet and fire blight
isn't mentioned.  The only conclusion i can come to is that all these
years we have been mistaking "pseudomonas" for fireblight.  I have
heard that the Eastern US gets more fireblight than the West coast
and this may be a factor also.

Another interesting tidbit is that only our chojuro suffers
from pseudomanas/fireblight.

If you don't know the answer to this, we might try NAFEX.
