Whoops... this statement is wrong. core industries and income
stocks do not do well when inflation heats up. They do well
sometimes at the beginning of a recession but a better statement
would be: inflation proof core industries. Historically
phone companies have been safe core industries.
Another question might be what are the odds we will not
have inflation and instead just stagnate economically?
