Hi all, (sorry about the cross posting) By chance at Borders books over the weekend, I picked up a new magazine/newsletter I've never seen before: Synthesis/Regeneration (A Magazine of Green Social Thought) I haven't read through everything but I did find what I've seen so far very interesting. While the presidential debates spew on about how each candidate want to redistribute trillions of $$$ of entitlements and various mud slingings I find this magazine a refreshing dialog of at least what I percieve as the *real* issues of today. (p.s. Go John McCain, my check's in the mail!!!) Here's a list of articles in the Winter 2000 edition: - A Planetary Alternative to the Global Economy - Beyond the World Trade Organization - Economic Diversity in Kentucky and Cuba - Community Based Economics - Community Based Economics: A Real Alternative to EcoSocialism - What Should We Guarantee and How? - A Democratic Economy and a Democratic Worklife Like I said, the coverage of topics is very interesting. Unforunately what I've read so far seems like alot of bitching, whining, complaining with very little in the way of implementing anything in the way of practical solutions. I plan to keep reading and learning however. Cheers, Greg _______________________________________________________ Get 100% FREE Internet Access powered by Excite Visit http://freeworld.excite.com
