I haven't watched Dave in years, but here's my Y2K Top 10 List:
10) People like to worry.
9) People trust those who make them worry the most.
8) People would rather panic then take the time to understand the issue.
7) We depend on computers too much. This problem' may not have been as
unsolvable as some claimed, but it did make it clear just how embedded in
our lives electronics have become.
6) People can and will make a buck off of just about anything.
5) Common sense is even less common than I feared.
4) The government will take credit for fixing problems that largely didn't
exist. They base this on how much of out money they spent.
3) I should find some good deals at flea markets soon.
2) People are still claiming there might be big Y2K problems to come.
1) Chicken Little was an amateur. Instead of doing all that running
around, he should have had a web site.
