I hope we still have a month before our first frost at least although
the dews are getting very heavy and the spindle trees are bright red.
Had a glorious day taking a party of newbie organic growers around
organic farms in County Wicklow where the cold mountain air is
beginning to colour the trees. Because our government is making a
complete ****** of national organic standards it was good to see
people who are working at developing local food networks away from
bureaucratic control.
Looking forward to reading your autumn philosophising Jeff. Forgive
me if I don't surface often - I'm engaged in orchestrating a war with
the aforementioned civil servants
