I'm a major promoter of solar energy so beware of hype
<grin>.  In general solar is underused and undervalued so i
sometimes fell we need to yell "solar" from the rooftops.  On
the other hand, i agree it is difficult to find good
information and most public discussion lists are full of
naive preaching and uninformed opinion.  Here are some places
that might be better:

  1. The old AE list at San Diego State is one of the best.
     They have a low profile, write to Marge at:
