First, here are some short quotes from the
magazine:

Christopher Williams of the University of London
Institute blames a combination of environmental toxins
(lead, PCBs, and radiation), soil erosion and inadequate diet
for the intellectual decline of millions of people.

Flush $50 down the toilet every week, and if you can get
used to that, buy a car.

Most of the expense related to cars is paid through taxes
and other hidden costs. An individual only spends about $1500
per year per car in the US.

Ten commandments for changing the world
 1. Believe it is possible
 2. Stand up and question those in power
 3. Understand the system
 4. Do something
 5. Pressure the media
 6. Tolerate and work with other groups
 7. Persevere
 8. Teach alternatives
 9. Adapt and learn from mistakes
 10. Take care of yourself

Some web spoof sites mentioned were:

http://www.whirledbank.org -- spoof of world bank
 http://www.mespotlight.org -- spoof of McDonalds

Overall, i really enjoyed this magazine and would recommend
it to anyone interested in eco-activism. Although, for me
the magazine was not of much use. I think we need people to
"BE" ecological along with fighting the system. This concept
of "BEING" ecological was not easy to find in any of the
articles and did not seem to be understood. For example: in
commandment 9 they say "Teach alternatives" but nowhere do
they say "live the alternatives". For me the best teacher is
example and experience. It is easy to tell others to change
but not easy to change ourself.

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
