What is the origion of todays strawberries?

  One might think they are natural but
  they are believed to be two American
  varieties crossed in France about 1750.

Are pears and apples from Europe or America?

 Actually they were breed before recorded
 history and have their roots in Asia.  The
 apple was develped from crosses of wild
 plants that appeared in western Asia
 The pear developed in central Asia.

Is the kiwi native to New Zealand?

 The kiwi probably evolved near the
 Yunnan provance in China where some
 60 species exist today.  A few have
 been found in India, Japan, and Korea.

Citrus?
 wild citrus can be found in Australia
 and much of Asia but todays popular citrus
 plants were probably breed in China about
 1000 BC.

Rhubarb?
 Developed in China about 3000 BC.
