What does a retired diplomat who spent much of
his life in the Mideast think?

There are good and bad Arabs and Muslims just
as there are good and bad Jews and good and
  bad Christians. --Aurthur Neuwirth

I was appalled in 1950 when I saw the thousands
of tents the Palestinian Arabs were camping in
after having been removed into Jordan.
    --Aurthur Neuwirth

Viewing the world from the perspective of a gardener
or naturalist makes me feel better. Here is what
Thoreau said:

In the wilderness is the preservation of the world.
    --Henry David Thoreau

It is true that nature has its share of tooth and claw
plus survival of the fittest, but what about hate?
propaganda, distortions, and destruction of nature
itself. All these things are mostly unorganized and
self limiting.
