------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-01-09 12:14 ------- (In reply to comment #14) > Ilija, would it not be preferable to enhance CYGPKG_IO_SERIAL_FREESCALE_ESCI > to > accommodate MPC5500-based targets in the future rather than create a new > serial > driver for MPC5500 that references CYGPKG_IO_SERIAL_FREESCALE_ESCI_H? I made (tried to make) ESCI to be a platform independent driver. I couldn't test it because I haven't got MPC5500 project so far, but from what I've seen in MPC5500 docs I am quite confident that it would work on MPC5500 as is (although I wouldn't bet more than one beer :-) > If it is essential to preserve CYGPKG_IO_SERIAL_FREESCALE_ESCI_H as a separate > package, it will need to be moved to a separate directory and > CYGPKG_IO_SERIAL_FREESCALE_ESCI should be made to require > CYGPKG_IO_SERIAL_FREESCALE_ESCI_H. Do you mean directory esci_h in the same parent directroy as esci i.e. serial/freescale/esci_h? What would we accomplish? At present we have 2 packages (CDLs) in a same directory (serial/freescale/esci). Is it a problem? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.ecoscentric.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
