The standalone kernel module only builds against 2.6.16 through 2.6.21 at the moment. I need to update it sometime to build against 2.6.22. In the meantime, if you want to use 2.6.22, you can apply the sendfile patch I posted previously to your kernel and use the in-kernel module. Note that the bug you hit with the in-kernel module when you attempted to mount your entire home directory as eCryptfs is probably still in 2.6.22.11. For now, if you want to run 2.6.22, I recommend just mounting something like a ~/secret directory, where you only work with regular files (no pipes or other special files). Note that the next round of kernel patches will remove the execution path on which this oops occurred (it's already gone in the standalone module). You had also previously mentioned that you experienced a kernel hang when you attempted to use the most recent standalone kernel module on 2.6.21. I have tested on 2.6.21 without any problems, so I still need to try to find a way to reproduce this. Thanks, Mike .___________________________________________________________________. Michael A.
