Thanks for the information. It all worked except for the
org.apache.ecs.factory.*. Although I have the source code from the
distribution, it does not seem to be packaged into the jar file.
Any thoughts?

This is included with the distribution.

This is the DOM Level 1 classes. They come with OpenXML, or you can
