What you just described is yet another reason why I've moved from M$
platform development to platform independance. Even though I was making
a good living from building web apps with M$ technology, I could see a
brick wall. Over the other side of that brick wall was a whole different
world of multi-tier architectures...and I realised that none of my M$
scripting skills were even slightly useful in that arena. I became clear
that I needed to be able to code with a technology that was portable;
one where the data sources were abstract; one where apps could be
developed as a team ( the MVC approach ). Now that I'm on the Java wagon
I can code for anything...with no fear.
