I have imported the dictionary values for 4010 VICS from GE into our old Paradox
datbase. This is the answer for ..kosher..

Num Val FullName
0246 36 Kosher
0340 510 Koshering
0750 BCC Beverage Content Characteristics (Kosher, No Sulfi
0755 KC Kosher Certificate
1300 E150 Koshering

I could then look for the documents segments elements that could use these
dictionary numbers but it looks as if you found the answer.

To me this is just common computer sense. I am not criticizing Brian but rather the
EDI system (culture) that seems to lack the kind of rational approach to information
that to me is entirely obvious and intuitive.

I do not have all the answers. I am still working on our business processes and
database structures that will enable information access for everyone from the CEO to
the forklift opperator. But out there.. in the world of EDI. its a jungle!

Thank God for this list. It is a great source of information and interaction in the
EDI
jungle. 8-)
