BizTalk Server 2000 is becoming less and less vaporware as time goes on.
Go to www.biztalk.org for information. Microsoft released the Biztalk
Preview during the early summer. There were problems with it (but it
was only a preview). We found a few basic problems with it.
o importing and exporting XML schemas
o Only a single N1 segment was allowed - no N1 loops.
On August 14th, Microsoft announced the release of the Biztalk Server
2000 beta software. You can down load it from the above website. You
do need to be running Windows 2000.
We will be down loading it to our 2000 testing environment. Will keep
you informed.

Sorry to "side-track" onto another (yet related) subject, but is anybody
using BizTalk from Microsoft?
Is it a real product yet? Or is it still "vapor-ware"?
I'd be interested in hearing real life experiences.

EDILers,

EDI-to-XML
translations with the proper mapping. Does anyone know if BizTalk from
Microsoft:
1. does FA processing and reconciliation?
2. does EDI syntax/compliance checking?

Hi,
I've been looking into BizTalk from Microsoft, and it looks very good.
I
have not used it but I think it would provide everything any translator
can
offer and more. Have any of you have any experience on BizTalk or have
an
opinion about it?.
Thanks,

Subject: EDI/XML Translation Software
I have a client who is hoping to be able to upgrade an existing
translation software package to a newer one which supports EDI legacy
systems, and will also do internet and XML standards as well.
Has anyone on the list done anything like this and can you let me know
what software package(s) you looked at and finally adopted?
Thanks,
Mark
