I would like to introduce you to Softshare's suite of products. Our
Softshare Delta translator (http://www.softshare.com/software/delta/)
supports EDI (X12 and EDIFACT), XML, flat files (CSV and fixed-width),
databases (using OLE DB technology) and text files such as HTML pages.
Softshare Delta is a Windows based translator designed around the following
motto: "One-hour models, Two-hour maps". It is easy to use yet very
powerful mapper with the ability to perform a database lookup from within
the map; the ability to add variables, constants and functions within the
map and; the ability to test and debug maps before they are placed into
production.
Alternatively we offer a lower end desktop package called Softshare Vista

Vista also supports both X12 and EDIFACT.

to meet the EDI and/or XML demands of their customers without any software

I have a client who is hoping to be able to upgrade an existing
translation software package to a newer one which supports EDI legacy
systems, and will also do internet and XML standards as well.
Has anyone on the list done anything like this and can you let me know
what software package(s) you looked at and finally adopted?
