I have worked with Gentran:Server for Unix the last 8 years.
It would be a smooth transition from Excel to either Server for Unix 5.3 or
Server for Unix with EC Workbench.
With both products, you gain client/server architecture which gives you a
GUI client for Windows.
With the Workbench, you gain an enterprise-wide solution with full
functionality for end-to-end turnkey EDI service.

Both products give Oracle (or ODBC) extensions.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Subject: EDI Gateway

We are looking at replacing our current EDI translator, Sterling Commerce
Gentran: Excel, with something newer. We are also looking at upgrading our
Oracle database to 8i and Oracle Applications to 11i (including the Oracle
Gateway). I am looking for a translator that will work with the Gateway.
We are open to Unix or NT based products.

Any advice or help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Joni Gardner
