I have been involved in three Oracle EDI Gateway implementations in the past
9 months, one where Sterling's Unix translator was used and two where the NT
product was used. In all three cases, the companies stayed with the same
platform for the EDI translator as they used for the Oracle apps. You can
get the Oracle EDI Gateway 'extension' from Sterling for either the NT or
the Unix translator. This just consists of some pre-built base maps for the
more common transactions supported by the Oracle gateway. All three
implementations went fairly well, and most of the issues that came up were
with the EDI gateway, not the translator.

Good luck!
