Considering you ended your sentence with a preposition ("who should I
apologize to?"), you might start your apologies with Sister Mary
I-Thought-I-Taught-You-Proper-Grammar.
However, the definitive word on dangling prepositions comes from one of my
favorites, Winston Churchill. On this topic he once commented, "That is the
sort of English up with which I shall not put."
