Cindy, I agree with what you are getting at that some organizations look at EDI as a 'project' and don't realize there are many parts of an organization that can use EDI.   I was at a EDI user group meeting years ago when a project manager for a major retailer made the comment that her manager had asked when her 'EDI project' would be completed.  This company is now a leader in the retail industry with EDI. The real success stories from EDI are from organizations that realize automation is an ongoing process not a project.
