Dear List,
I have been requested to post the reply to my questions.
I have removed the names of the people sending the information as they sent
it to me individually, but I would like to thank them for their replies.
A web site I found at UN/ECE called the "National Trade Facilitation
Contacts Worldwide" page. http://www.unece.org/cefact/trafix/bdy_part.htm
was useful
The answers I received were
- "I have not worked with anyone in Korea. However; I have worked with Hong
Kong, Japan, and others in the Asian area. Try Advantis as a van for that
area. Advantis has a hub in Japan and was easy to work with to setup
trading
partners."
- "I am not aware of all the vendors who are operating in Korea, however, I
do
know GE GXS (Global Net Exchange) has a good presence in Korea. A good start
is with EAN Korea. You can get the link to EAN Korea from the EAN
International site. EAN Korea supports EANCOM implementation guidelines of
CEFACT/ EDIFACT. There are some effort of EAN Korea in setting up a item
catalogue to facilitate cCommerce."
- "Please reply to the list. I am also interested in finding out how to
connect to our suppliers in South Korea."
- The KIEC is the peak body for edifact in Korea. They have a web site
http://www.kiec.or.kr/ and they may be able to give you a non commercial
perspective.
