Mercator has been re-branding its product line. Mercator is the name of the
company. The previous name was TSI. The desktop (Windows) EDI translator
was named Trading Partner PC (TPPC), now its Mercator Desktop. The OnCall
EDI name has not changed. Here is a web site that describes Mercator's

Way back in the mid-90's (around 1993-94) Baxter Healthcare worked with TSI
International (now Mercator) to bring to the health care supply chain a
PC-based EDI solution supporting standard EDI transactions in use in health
care at the time: 850, 855, 832, etc. It was named OnCall EDI. I believe
that the base/foundation for OnCall EDI was the TSI PC EDI product, which I
think is still called Trading Partner PC.
In any case, the health care supply chain did not wholeheartedly adopt
OnCall EDI, for a number of reasons which don't make any difference today.
This may be what you're asking about.
