Hi EDI-L
Thanks for all the responses to my question. I've found what I was looking
for in an EDISPORT Orders documentation.
There are four special ways for ordering:
1) Standard assortment group
2) Assortment group with rules defined by supplier and composition in sizes
defined by buyer
3) Standard package defined by buyer
4) Case lot?s management defined by buyer
It's the first of those that I'm interested in. See the description below
for further details.
Greetings,
Lorenz
Found in Orders-documentation from GENCOD - EAN France, 1998:

3.4.1 Standard assortment group
If a mixed assortment has been defined in a PRICAT message, the customer can
order with the assortment number without repeating the consumer units : the
standard way of ordering can be used.
In some cases, both partners agree to repeat the description of the mixed
assortment in the ORDERS message. They want to avoid problems caused by
change
of the composition in the assortment during the period
between catalogue and order, or between order and invoice.
This special way of ordering is identified by an IMD segment with the code
SG (Standard group of products) following the LIN/PIA identifying the
mixed assortment.
Consumer units are transmitted as sub-lines linked to the mixed assortment
line. A code in DE 7083 indicates that the sub-line is included in the main
line. QTY in the main line gives the quantity of mixed assortment ordered
(DE
6063 = 21). QTY in the sub-lines gives the ordered quantity of
consumer units in the assortment (DE 6063 = 21).
Example:
The values in brackets in the LIN segment correspond to the line number and
the sub-line reference. The value in double quotes in the IMD segment
corresponds to DE 7009 which defines both the type of article and the
special way of ordering.
LIN Batch of 6 hats size child of different colours (100++EAN?)

QTY 3 batches ordered
PRI batch price
LIN Item white hat (101++EAN+1:100++I?)

LIN Item blue hat (102++EAN+1:100++I?)
