My reply is not intended to start a "my job is worse than yours thread", but I would ask the following questions if I was asking questions about my fit to an EDI job being solicited. If I was the interviewer I would be concerned if they didn't ask the following questions.
What are the on-call support/maintenance procedures? Are month-end, quarter-end, year-end processes impacted by EDI? And visa-versa? I would want to talk with the person who would be training/transition their job to me. I would want to know about the last several projects/implementations. Who they were with, how they went, how long do each one typically last, how many occur currently? I could probably go on, but if a person asked these questions then that tells me they have done it before and are ready to begin the questions about technical skills previously mentioned. Good Luck to both parties!!!!!
