Hi Jeff,

You are correct about Asia, the vast majority of Asian companies that do 
EDI use EDIFACT vs. X.12, even US companies based here use EDIFACT and only 
do X.12 back to their US operations if they have to.

The one exception would be Japanese companies that use EIAJ ( A Japanese 
developed derivative of EDIFACT that supports double byte not directly 
compatible w EDIFACT or X.12) but this is a Japan standard & they will 
normally use EDIFACT for all communications outside Japan.
