I think there is also an interchange (ISA) minimum version requirement for the use of composite elements...I think the Interchange must be at least "00300" to use the composites, which were introduced in.. was it 003020? 003030? Last week Tuesday? IIRC, you don't have to meet this requirement if you don't actually USE any composite elements... but I may well remember this wrong. (Memory is the second thing to go).
