Everyone has their own interpretation.  My current gig has 10 digit NDC 
("ND"),  some of the
wholesalers order with that, some order with 11 digit ND or N4 (with a 
lead zero tacked
on the front.)  Wal-Mart orders with a 12 digit UPC, with a "3" on the 
front and a check
digit on the back.  They also order by pills instead of by the bottle, 
but that's another
conversation.

As long as you can handshake with your partner ... we tend to take 
whatever code they
send, and try to return the same.
