Michael, Citibank supplied or requested that b*Trade (www.btrade.com which will re-direct you to clickcommerce.com) deliver to us a copy of TD_Compress. Citibank then supplied us with the encryption keys which are tied to an ISA Sender ID. ISA/GS/GE/IEA records are not encrypted. ST-SE records are encrypted. The encryption software and bTrade have never been difficult. The group(s) at Citibank that should know how this data is encrypted and routed...don't. This makes it extremely frustrating when they screw something up. Whenever something has screwed up Citibank has been the cause.
There is another group at Citibank that seem to be more competent. The platform is a Salomon Smith Barney FTP server and uses PGP encryption on the payloads. Other Citibank platforms allow direct connection via async phone line. The also have web interfaces. You definitely do not want to be ordering money movements over phone or FTP. You either encrypt the payloads or the tunnels or both. Some reporting may not need to be as secure. I also know that Citibank uses Connect:Direct, a.k.a NDM. This is a Sterling Commerce product that many banks use even today. It is an encrypted FTP tunnel and nicely handles Giga sized files reliably. I doubt that you will find anyone at Citibank that actually knows that they use this product, or know how to use it. Closing our Citibank accounts is not an option. Your best hope is that you are a large enough customer that when you can't convince their "help desk" that they have a problem, that you have some high contacts that can properly motivate the worker bees. Else hope you have a LOT of patients. --- "Kotoyan, Michael" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, I was wondering if you could offer me some advice.
