It is.
In addition to the EDI expertise & experience, you will find:
References on people available and looking for work.
Advice on finding jobs and/or workers.
Resolving unemployment problems.
Opinions on EDI outsourcing.

I agree (about the other avenues).  There are, and this is also one.  This 
mailing list is a much better format than some anonymous job list.  

Example:  Your company is looking to fill an EDI vacancy.  Wouldn't you give 
first consideration to someone who may have helped you in the past, and has 
shown expertise here?  I know that I would.

As has already been mentioned, you can always filter out the <JOBS> tags.
