When Drummond certifies a program, they test it against all the other
certified programs to make sure they can communicate, exchange and
decipher each others MDNs (synchronous and asynchronous).

Presumably, all the folks such as yourself who don't use Certified
Software are having a terrible time with incompatibilities with all your
other uncertified trading partners. In the mean time, those of us who
use Certified Software never have any problems, ever.

Whether or not this is what really happens, I don't know. It is true we
have not had any problems caused by our AS2 software, or by that of our
trading partners.

Speaking of the trading partner in Canada, I am wondering why Drummond
Certification is so important to them? I can do AS2 that follows the
protocol, yet because my software is not "Drummond Certified", they will
not allow us to use our software.

What's the big deal with Drummond Certification?
