The situation I have is that my client is running SAP and using Gentran 5.xon XP. They are sending/receiving EDI right now but they are doing so manually by importing the IDOCs from the LAN and sending them to the VAN each morning. Some of the things we would like to do are: 1. Link SAP and Gentran through ALE or TCP 2. We would like to automate the whole process so that Gentran send/receives from SAP according to a schedule and in turn updates SAP 3. We would like to put in place some sort of alert/warning system that would allow us to receive a page or an email Can anyone tell me if we need to upgrade and/or purchase a Gentran module?
