There are a huge number of variables. I don't think that anyone can give you
much help without a lot more details. That's why we get paid the big bucks ;-)

As Brian pointed out, web-based ASNs _can_ work.... sometimes.

There are many ways to look at this, but I would focus on the economic aspects
and current problem areas.

How much time does it take to process? How many people? Is the time adequate
to ship the goods? Do the EDI orders _need_ to be integrated into the
Accounting system?

Some of our clients who trade with WalMart use Retail Link since their volume
is limited to a few huge orders per year. WalMart does not require ASNs, yet.

Some clients deal with JCPenney, where a single order means hundreds of 850s,
since they get a single 850 per store. Then there are the other documents like
753/754 and ASNs.

Some clients use web based ASN, since their shipments are small, packed by
store and are always less than a singe carton per store. UCC-128 labels are
created by printing .PDFs generated on the web site.

There is a huge difference even within a single Trading Partner. Sears Canada
does QR (Quick Response), JIT (Just in Time), Catalog, Retail and Fashion.
Each division has different requirements and in some cases, different Label
formats.

Many of our clients manufacture clothes. Their problems may be different than
yours...

Malfunction. Need input!
