We were in a similar situation, adding new AS2 Trading Partners would be cost prohibitive.
We searched around and found that the nuBridges Trailblazer product quite suitable, both price wise and capacity wise. Also it is Drummond certified for AS1, AS2, AS3 and ftp protocols.
