Well if that's all it takes then yeah, get your EDI imbedded in your ERP.

Someone mentioned that if the EDI was bundled with the ERP.exe, that
customer changes would be difficult because the SW company would have to
make a new version.
However, if the mapping/write to DB is inside a DLL, all they have to do is
backup the old DLL and copy the new one into the appropriate directory.
