Hey folks,
I've not gotten a single response to this, leaving me to wonder if it made it out the door. I thought I'd re-post the question, and apologize if you receive this twice. Pete From: Pete Austin Sent: Wednesday, October 25, 2006 6:11 PM To: '[email protected]' Subject: [JOB] - Needed - MQ utility to place a file on a queue. Short side-work Requirement I have a client that needs to send a 270 and 276 to a trading partner for review/response, using MQ, and receive back the 271 and 277 transactions. Additionally, in the header of the message, the name of the return queue has to be inserted. Or said differently: - The client needs to be able take a file that is sitting in a directory, and drop it onto an MQ queue, destined for their payer, with the return queue name inserted into the message header. - The client needs to be able receive a message, extract it from the queue, and drop it into a file on a directory. Environment Client - MQ 6.x client on a windows environment Partner - MQ 5.x on a mainframe Detail / Observations The client is not familiar with MQ. They have never implemented it before. The payer does MQ on the mainframe, and pretty much inherited the system. So, while they can run the system, they don't know much about it. Also, as mainframe folks, their observations don't help much. The client did find a small application, with its source code, that allowed them to send the message. However, when received, the message was broken into 99 character chunks. Also the return queue name was not present. They can see where in the sourcecode the adjustments need to be made, but do not have the skills or time. What we need is a tool that will fulfill this function. Alternatively, we need someone to review this found source code and make the appropriate changes, compile, and test. I cannot imagine that this is more than a few days of work to get this in place, tested, and documented. Offsite / evenings are fine. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
