Growing organization is looking for a very strong (3+ year) EDI
Developer with good Progress programming experience. Client utilizes
Gentran EDI software and needs experienced EDI Developer (any EDI pkg
or home grown) as long as has Progress development in background.
Should have done full life cycle EDI development (front end
communications/interface with clients through the transaction mapping
to development using Progress). Would like to be able to have
contractor do full process for 2-3 new clients and get them all set
up for the basic Purchase Orders and Invoicing transactions.
Gentran EDI experience is MAJOR PLUS. Progress App Server and Web
Methods is a plus but NOT required. Prefer to find candidates that
have current experience (within the last year) doing Gentran EDI and
Progress but will consider candidates that have RECENT experience in
either Gentran or other EDI with former Progress coding experience.
If they have current Progress but previous EDI experience, may
consider that combination of skills depending on the complexity of
the work they have done. Within EDI, needs to know the EDI process
flow and know the specific transactions and how one feeds the other.
Client is using Progress Version 9 - character based code.
Must be a self starter and very eager to grow. Must be able to pass
background and drug test.
