Hello all,

I am having issues with installing clients for my Gentran 5.1. Not sure
if the trouble is with Sterling or my network administrator. My system
guy has an issue with what Sterling is requiring him to do in order for
the client to work. I need to know is how we can install the client
software on user workstations without giving the user administrator access
to the server. Sterling is telling him that this is hte only way and he
isn't believing that a software company is requiring that level of
authority to a client. So, he is refusing to install the client until I
get a better answer or Sterling changes their software requirement.

I would like to think that this is just a communication problem where I am
just missing some setup on the client.

Has anyone dealt with this problem? We have had Gentran for years. We
are simply upgrading from 5.0 to 5.1. 5.0 did not require this level of
authority.

Please tell me what I am missing?

Thanks,
Cindy Hildebrand
