Yes, we argued with them over the same thing. If you grant them
permission to the sterling 5.1 registry keys on the server I believe
that will do the trick without making them admins.
Try that and I think it will work for you. There are certain things
you won't be able to do like configure the com sessions (for which
you will need admin help) but once its set up there is no reason the
daily functions can't be handled in a way that is functional and
helps your admin sleep nights.
