In the Wal-Mart 856 specifications, the RFID tag # can be reported on the
MAN segment at the pallet level.  This is optional at this time.  

 

*       Any opinions on where this is heading?  
*       Will this become standard practice?  
*       Will the ASN still be used to give the buyer advanced notice of the
shipment and it contents for planning and visibility?  
*       Can the combination of the ASN and RFID help in the "Secure Supply
Chain" concept?
