Dialup well and truly sucks. Ditching dialup for something IP based will 
make your life a bunch easier.

As a couple of other folks mentioned, shopping around for VANs can save 
quite a bit of money, and unless you're a 600lb gorilla, you probably will 
need to have some VAN capability anyway.

Like Art, we use Softshare's VAN and have found it to be effective and low 
cost. I don't think you need to use their translator/comm software to use 
their VAN services, but I could be wrong about that. They post their

BTW, my onservation is that all the VANs have different pricing algorthims 
mostly designed to make it hard to make head to head pricing comparisons.
