Ann, I'm running Gentran Basic v6.0. We upgraded to zOS/ 1.7 last November and encountered no problems. The upgrade was seamless with Gentran. We did have to upgrade our version of Expedite Base/MVS to version 4.6.1 (this is the software we use to interface from the mainframe to our VAN (GXS Information Exchange). Hello, My organization is currently running Gentran Basic v6.0, which is has been sunset by Sterling. Sometime this year, we will be upgrading our mainframe operating system to zOS 1.7. Obviously, Sterling has no plans to certify v6.0 in this version of zOS. I am wondering if anyone out there is running v6.0 in this environment. We are planning to upgrade Gentran, but I'm just wondering how concerned we should be about the operating system. We're already on zOS 1.7 in our test environment, and everything seems fine, but I'm wondering if anyone has producion experience they can share.
