Our plan was that MB will route our EDI. We thought
that it would pass the data to datastage TX Runtime
for all the EDI functions from translation to passing
the files to SAP. Our IBM (sales rep/advisor with no
EDI experience) said we should not use the datastage
TX runtime because it's not going to be supported in
two years. So it's the runtime piece we should not
use. We would use MB to call the TX map and the output
would be routed back to MB to move to SAP.

Now the problem is that MB does not have any built in
EDI functions like trading partner admin, etc that I
know of. I'm new to this product. Our IBM consultant
plans to us a lot of java to do what TX does.

A person on our team is checking further with IBM to
get a better ID what they plan to do with TX. We
figure that a big piece of TX will have to be
incorporated into MB for the EDI stuff. If I hear
something I'll pass it on.
