POSITION SUMMARY EDI Analyst: EDI Analyst position will be mainly reporting to the IT Director. Ideal candidate will: Fully understand EDI concept and standards Understand apparel/fashion industry standards Analyze, implement, test, validate and troubleshoot EDI mappings and UCC-128 shipping labels Communicate with EDI partners Handle and validate various inbound and outbound EDI transactions (850, 860, 997, 856, 810, 870, etc) Communicate with the software developers to solve technical issues and request mappings updates Coordinate with EDI Operations and Shipping departments to support the daily operations Maintain the users access to the different partners' websites Maintain and follow up Price Tickets requirements and application QUALIFICATIONS BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree 2 to 5 years experience in EDI Working knowledge of EDI translation Ability to read EDI raw files for various transactions Knowledge with Value Added Networks (VAN's) Ability to work in a team environment Database knowledge, preferably MS SQL or FoxPro (Oracle is a plus) High analytical skills is a must Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Excellent organizational skills and computer literacy a must Excellent user support track record Good knowledge of EDI solutions provider such as Gentran.
