I don't know if you're referencing the blood systems components of your
company or including stuff like the store, as well.
But it may be easiest to just consider any aspects of your business that
involve the use of paper forms and realize that most of these functions
can be streamlined via EDI by eliminating the need to rekey information
into your systems as the entity you're trading data with will have
already done the data entry for you.
Also, for the outbound paper, consider that you won't be generating the
paper documents or mailing them if those processes are converted to EDI.
In the accounting area, itself, many of the current manual calculations
can be handled in a much more automated fashion, but as Dan said, it's
hard to know without more information.
