I am surprise to hear people are paying that much. We pay .07 and will be looking to reduce that to .05 this year.
We have no minimum charge expect a mailbox fee of around 100-150. We do not use a sliding scale, just renogitiated a new flat fee .13 down to .07 about 2 years ago. We use Sterling, our present VAN bill is around 2G's with about 50% of the volume being Walgreens and CVS and they seem to refuse to go to AS/2 ( and say they are not even considering it - not sure why) Most of our other customers around less then 100 per month customers. We have reduced our bill 8,000 per month moving customers to AS/2 over the last 3 years. Not sure which VAN you are using but I prefer Sterling, execellent support, no down time, low cost. You might want to see when your contract expires and first try a renegotiation. You might be able to cut it in half just be renogiating the contract.
