No, you may not say that. Actually, there is no specification for "spaces between interchanges" but in any event, it's perfectly legal... since ANSI EDI is self-describing, the translator should know the IEA segment has ended and not try to do anything until it finds another valid ISA segment in the data stream. However, you may find my FREE cleanup/reformat utilty handy... it will eliminate all spaces between interchanges for you. http://www.talsystems.com, hit "Tech Corner" and download the EDICLEAN software.
