Good luck with Home Depot. They never answer calls or emails.

It has nothing to do with the translator. If Big Hammer cannot accept an 832,
then it stops there. You have to do what the Hammer wants ;-(

Your translator does not connect directly to the DataPool.

The 832 is an EDI document used to load UPC data. The GDS exchange does not
use it. Some Data Pools will allow you to load the database using the 832, but
some do not. Many years ago, Inovis said that they would synch stuff for free
once you got it into their Data Pool. They did accept 832s.

In addition, look out for 'Marketing Data". It's stuff that is not covered in
the 832s I've seen. That's how the Big Hammer can justify 'their way'.

One of my clients spent thousands after HomeDepot said that it was going to
require it... It's been many, many years and they are still paying for UCC
annual membership that they do not need or use.

You can do what I've done in the past with Home Depot. Ignore them until they
make their requirements very clear.
